Der Legende nach liess sich der heilige St. Jodern, Bischof von Sitten und Schutzpatron der Walliser Winzer, vom Teufel nach Rom und in einer Glocke, italienisch „Campana”, wieder zurück ins Rhonetal tragen. Ein fruchtig, würziger Rotwein, gekeltert aus der hiesigen Gamay-Traube.
